69-y-o dad of gangster gunned down in Old Harbour Bay

A 69-year-old man was shot dead last night in what police are investigating as a murder in the community of Terminal Road, Old Harbour Bay.

The victim, identified as Calvin Christie, also known as "Norman”, was discovered by police crouched beside a table with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025, said the police.

Christie was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital by law enforcement but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Detectives processing the crime scene, recovered three spent casings, a bullet fragment, a damaged bullet, and blood samples, while the body was later transported to Morgan’s Funeral Home, where it will be stored pending a postmortem examination.

Detectives from the Old Harbour CIB and  the St Catherine Scene of Crime Unit, continue to gather evidence.

Residents of Terminal Road expressed shock at the killing, describing Christie as a quiet, elderly man. However, Old Harbour News understands that Christie is the father of Anthony ‘Kojack’ Christie who was a member of the now dismantled Ants Man gang that created terror in the community. Anthony, who was released from prison last year, spent 15 years incarceration for the 2010 shootout with members of the security forces in the Terminal area. Since his release from prison Anthony has not been living in the area, a reliable source told Old Harbour News.

Police have not yet established a motive for the attack but are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in solving the case.
