Christian was positively identified by relatives this morning after being contacted by the police following publication in the premier community media outlet.
His body was discovered on November 30 in bushes in Thetford, Church Pen – some 13 miles from his home – but remain unidentified until today.
His feet were bound, his throat slashed and had what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head, Old Harbour News has been reliably informed.
Christian, who does duco works on motor vehicles for a living at a garage in Kitson Town, was last seen alive by family members on the night of November 28 when he left his Bullet Tree district home on his bicycle.
Detectives theorise he was killed elsewhere and his body dumped.
Less than 48 hours ago in an interview with Old Harbour News, Jameco's mother Jean Martin-Christian was hopeful that her fifth of eight children would have turned up alive. But her hopes and that of other relatives and friends, have been dashed as the missing person report they filed on December 4 has become a police murder probe.

Nicole Christian, the sister of Jameco, said her brother didn't deserve to die like this.
“He’s a very good guy. Him always work hard for what he wants,” she said. “When people saw the picture of him in the news that’s when the police call and they showed us pictures of the body and it’s him.”
She said the entire family is distraught by the gruesome news.
Investigation continues.
