VIDEO: Man steals phone in Old Harbour store

This time the victim is an employee of LS Dress for Less, a clothing store located on Darlington Drive.

The incident occurred on February 25, 2021.

In the video the culprit went into the store and snatched a Samsung A2S phone said to value just over $30,000. Old Harbour News understands that the owner of the electronic device had left the phone on the counter to assist an elderly lady to the restroom inside the store.

Both victims believed that the criminal act was carried out by the same person who stole a phone the previous day at the Deli Spot Restaurant on South Street.

The police have confirmed receiving reports of both stolen phones and are also in possession of footages retrieved from the stores’ CCTV system.

Anyone with information that may lead to the capture of this suspect should immediately alert the police while persons are being urged to exercise extra vigilance when they are out in the public.
