Shawn White succumbs to gunshot injuries

Shawn White, a well known Old Harbour figure from Burke Road, died in hospital following an attacked by unknown assailants.
According to the police, at about 8:45 pm on November 5, 39-year-old White o/c ‘Clingbud’ was standing at the gate of his Burke Road home when he was pounced upon by an armed men who shot him several times.
He subsequently succumbed to his injuries the next day.
White, a former football player, represented several local clubs in Old Harbour and St Catherine. He went on to represent Boy’s Town Football Club in the National Premier League from 2005 to 2007, playing as an attacking midfielder.
But his football career was cut short because of a serious knee injury.
His death came two weeks after one of his close friends from within community was gunned down, Old Harbour News understands.
