The duo of Derjean Royal and Chad Avis were the star performers in the Southern Conference Zone A encounter at the Old Harbour Church of Christ Court.
Royal led with a game high 14 points, while snatching eight rebounds and effecting four steals and five assists. Avis, a national junior representative, had a double-double, ending the game with 12 points, 12 rebounds, five steals and three assists.
St Catherine’s Nicholas Kelly accounted for more than a third of their points tally, as he recorded 10 points and 10 boards.
Meantime, in the under-16 curtain-raiser, Old Harbour were beaten 40-34 by St Catherine, to remain winless after two games.
Elsewhere in the zone, Calabar hammered Ardenne 72-25 in under-19 action at their Red Hills Road base. But in junior battle, the hosts had to fight hard until the last minute, edging the visitors 58-57.
Action resumes in Zone A on November 5 with Meadowbrook travelling to Ardenne, Camperdown, hosting Old Harbour and Calabar entertaining St Catherine.
